I paid but didn't get my role — what now?

Your payment went through — this is a Discord problem, not a payment one. Run /membership in the server: the command re-applies the role there and then, and for most people that is the whole fix.

What to do, in order

  1. Run /membership in the server. Type it into any channel. Only you see the reply. The command checks what you are paying for and re-applies the role while you wait — if the role can be granted at all, this is what grants it.
  2. Check you're in the server, on the same account. If you bought from a link outside Discord you may never have joined. Open the server's invite page while signed in and press the button on your plan: it puts you into the server and re-applies the role in one step.
  3. Tell the server's owner which role you bought. If the first two didn't work, the fix is on their side. Tell them which tier you bought and that the role hasn't arrived — that is all they need from you.

Why it happens

A setting in the server. Most often the server’s own settings stop the bot from handing out the role. The owner has been told and their dashboard shows the fix; once it is changed, the role arrives on its own.

You weren't in the server. A role can only go on somebody who is there. flatpass adds you when it can; if it can’t, join the server yourself and run /membership.

The grant failed once and nothing retried it. This is the case /membership fixes outright: the command re-runs it against Discord now rather than waiting for the next event.

One case /membershipwon’t fix: if there is an open payment dispute on your subscription — a chargeback with your bank — the role stays off until the dispute closes.

What not to do

Don't buy again. Your payment went through; a second subscription would be a second charge for the same role and would not make it appear any faster.

Once the server’s setting is changed the role arrives on its own — you do not have to come back and do anything.

  • I left the server — am I still being charged?

Yes. Leaving a Discord server cancels nothing. Cancel the subscription itself, and use the invite page's Open button to get back in with your role.

  • How do I get a refund?

Ask the server owner — they were paid directly and flatpass never holds the money. Cancelling is not a refund: it stops the next payment and returns nothing.

  • How do I cancel my membership?

Run /membership in the server and press Manage billing, or use the manage link on the server's invite page. The role stays until the period you've paid for ends.
