What your member does
Four steps, none of them yours.
They press a price
On the card you pin in your server, or on your invite page. Every billing period has its own button with its price on it.
They sign in with Discord
So flatpass knows which account to give the role to. No codes to paste, no username to type.
They pay on Stripe’s checkout
By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The payment goes straight into your own Stripe account.
They get the role
Straight away, with nothing for you to check. If they weren’t in your server yet, flatpass adds them.
Setting it up
Four steps, all from your dashboard.
- Add the flatpass bot to your server. It asks for two permissions: Manage Roles, to add and remove the roles you sell, and Create Invite, to put buyers into your server. Never Administrator.
- Connect Stripe. You use your own Stripe account, new or existing. Stripe’s onboarding takes about ten minutes and asks for photo ID and bank details, so it’s easier on a laptop.
- Pick the role you want to sell.
- Set a price: monthly, every three months, every six months or yearly.
Then run /flatpass panel in the channel where you want the price card, and pin it. Posting the card.
When the role comes off
The role follows the subscription, not the click.
The member cancels. They keep it for the time they’ve already paid for.
Until the period endsA renewal payment fails. They keep it while Stripe retries the card. It comes off if the subscription ends.

The one Discord rule
Discord only lets a bot give out roles that sit below its own role, and it puts a new bot’s role at the bottom. So drag flatpass above the roles you sell, in Server Settings → Roles. The flatpass dashboard warns you if a role you sell is out of reach, and members who paid in the meantime get their role as soon as you fix it.

Not yet, or not at all
No one-time payments: every price is a subscription, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or yearly. Members can’t switch tiers yet; to move up, a member subscribes to the new tier and cancels the old one. And there’s no PayPal or crypto: members pay through Stripe’s checkout, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Does a member need to be in my server before they pay?
No. They can pay from your invite page, and flatpass adds them to the server with the role.
What if someone paid and didn’t get the role?
Almost always, the role sits above flatpass’s own role in your role list. Drag flatpass above it and the role goes out; the member can also run /membership in the server, which re-applies it. The fix, step by step.
Can I use the Stripe account I already have?
Yes. flatpass connects to it through Stripe’s own onboarding and never sees your keys.
Does flatpass hold my money?
No. Payments go straight into your Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its usual schedule.
Can I sell more than one role?
